Position type:

This is a full time position as a digital nomad (work from home).

At certain times of the year travel to team meetings will be required. These meetings are sometimes in the U.S., sometimes in Europe and occasionally in other parts of the world. Travel may also be required.

Global Commons Alliance Accountability Accelerator (Consultant)

The GCAA is looking for a project consultant to support the work of the Accountability Accelerator. 

Key Tasks and Deliverables

Process:

  • Execute daily operations in congruence with Global Commons Alliance and Accountability Accelerator policies, rules, and processes (ongoing)
  • Support calendar management, convening meetings, complex travel arrangements, and expenses (ongoing).
  • Digitally file all paperwork and create a database of all stakeholders with contact information (ongoing).
  • Update the database with progress and impact data (ongoing).
  • Support core team with communications, and interaction with other GCA components to ensure work is progressing as planned (ongoing).
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes such as safeguarding and adherence to governance structure and internal decision-making model (ongoing).
  • Prepare all the required documents needed for decision making, including all write-ups and logic models (ongoing).
  • Support team with project management, grant applications, and other timelines (ongoing). 

Content: 

  • Conduct background research in areas of GCA and Accountability Accelerator’s work (ongoing).
  • Share learnings with other GCA components to contribute to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Collect information on partners for due diligence, staff assessments, write-ups, and decision committees (ongoing).
  • Support preparation of proposals, RFPs, presentations and other materials (ongoing).
  • Prepare reports and fulfill reporting requirements as requested (ongoing).

Practicalities

  • Location: Remote (preference for USA East Coast time zone)
  • Time commitment: Initially 100% time for three months, with possibility to extend (depending on deliverables and quality of work). 
  • Start date: Q1 2023
  • Travel: Travel will be limited, with 1-2 events, GCA, or team workshops per year.
  • Compensation: $50,000-$55,000

Language: Fully fluent in written and spoken English, knowledge of other languages relevant to GCAA work e.g., Spanish, Portuguese or French is a plus
