The Job

• Strategic Partnerships: Sources, develops, and manages a diverse set of partnerships and grants that execute on the Foundation’s strategic plan by focusing on novel solutions and services that improve the lives of older adults.
• Program Development: Provides expertise in the field of innovation and technology to identify priorities, gaps, and trends that shape programmatic needs and opportunities to improve care and access for older adults.
• Portfolio Management: Monitors the progress of Foundation-supported projects, facilitates efforts of grantees and partners, and pursues opportunities for synergy among projects.

Market Knowledge and Subject Matter Expertise

• Demonstrates knowledge of emerging approaches, funding trends, products, and solutions in the areas of technology, analytics, and data, along with other aspects of innovation that could be applicable to older adults
• Researches and develops unique points of view on the innovation landscape for older adults, particularly older adults of priority populations (lower income, persons of color, geographically underserved)
• Demonstrates a continued commitment to DEI in the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and partnerships
• Attends external meetings relevant to program issues, reviewing publications and journals relevant to the Foundation’s innovation agenda and interests, staying abreast of current research, activities, and trends
• Represents TSF in external settings, championing the organization as a thought leader and key stakeholder within innovation communities
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge, establishing personal networks (e.g., with investors, tech companies, payers/providers, data & analytics companies, etc.), participating in professional societies, etc.

Cross-Sector Partnerships and Philanthropic Development

• Develops relationships and sources grant, partnership, and impact investment opportunities with diverse parties to broaden the reach and impact of TSF in the areas of technology and innovation
• Assists in grants, partnerships, and impact investment planning and budget forecasting for staff and Board of Directors review
• Leads grant, partnership, and impact investment development efforts by working with prospective partners to prepare proposals and budgets, reviews opportunities with the executive team, and prepares grant proposal summaries for presentation to the Board
• Manages grants, partnerships, and impact investments by reviewing progress and expenditure reports, responding to grantee requests and problems, clarifying discrepancies, conducting site visits as needed and for scheduled pre- and post-grant evaluations.
• Reports on grants, partnerships, impact investments and related projects with project management tools for organizational visibility
• Works collaboratively with other program leads across the organization to ensure grants, partnerships, and impact investments drive greater impact and benefit
• Provide quantitative and qualitative grant evaluations by reviewing and analyzing grantee/partner reports, evaluating the impact of grants and programs, preparing evaluation reports for presentation to the executive team and Board of Directors, reviewing evaluation reports prepared by other staff and consultants
• Manages unsolicited proposals by reviewing and responding to unsolicited letters of intent, proposals, and calls, and sharing potentially valuable proposals with other program and senior executive staff
• Assists in the development of Board of Directors materials by preparing evaluation, summary and analysis reports for inclusion, and reviewing content

Organizational Development

• Contributes to the continued evolution of the organization, ensuring TSF serves older adults in unique and novel ways in alignment with the mission and vision
• Proactively seeks opportunities to enhance the organization’s ways of working, collaboration style, and impact

Your Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree preferred. A comparable combination of education/experience and/or training will be considered equivalent to the education listed.

5 years + of professional experience in areas related to technology, innovation, non-profit/philanthropy.

Experience in research, partnership development, and program management is highly desired.

Demonstrated commitment to the Foundation’s core values, mission, and programs.

Ability to source and cultivate partnerships.
