About Apybara

Apybara’s mission is to bring accessibility and transparency to the staking ecosystem. Staking powers decentralized coordination between validators and node operators to secure Proof of Stake blockchains, Layer 2s, oracles, and more.

Over $90 billion worth of assets are staked today with the biggest Proof of Stake protocol, Ethereum, providing roughly 5% in staking rewards.

In its first year of operations, Apybara has launched the following products:

• ProtocolStaking provides stakers, validators, and institutions with an overview of key staking statistics and information.
• Staking.xyz abstracts away the complexity involved with staking and provides a seamless staking experience.

Role

We will build products that tackle major pain points in the staking ecosystem and help pave the way to onboarding tens of millions of people to staking.

Our next product milestone is to launch the dashboard for Staking.xyz. Afterwards, we will work to deploy Staking.xyz on two new networks. Success will be measured through the percentage of staking flow that we are able to capture.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers to deliver responsive, stateful, and friendly UIs
• Collaborate with developers to integrate RESTful or GRPC APIs to front-end applications
• Lead initiatives to make impactful UI/UX improvements

Minimum requirements

• Advanced skills in writing accessible, well-structured, and semantic HTML
• Advanced skills in writing modern and efficient CSS for responsive UIs
• Strong experience in building and debugging web applications using React.js andTypeScript
• Solid understanding of state management patterns in React.js with hooks and context API
• Ability to collaborate with designers and developers to solve problems and deliveruser-friendly applications
• Ability to manage progress and tasks asynchronously with tools such as documents, GitHub, and ticket system

Nice-to-have

• Understand basic graphic design or UI/UX knowledge, such as typography and affordances
• Experience in remote working environment
• Experience in staking or using DeFi applications
• Experience in running or working for a validator
• Open mindedness and curiosity to learn about different crypto projects
• Proactive, self-starting character
• Great communicator

Compensation

Compensation will be a combination of annual salary and equity.
