Grant Amount: $35,000 USD
About the Organization
Together Women Rise is a dynamic community comprising women and their allies committed to advancing global gender equality. Our network spans numerous local chapters throughout the United States, where members engage in learning about and advocating for gender equality issues. We provide grants to organizations that empower women and girls in low-income countries and cultivate a supportive community to foster impactful connections, amplifying our collective strength.
About the Grant
Through our Featured Grants Program, Together Women Rise allocates funding to initiatives that uplift and empower women and girls in marginalized communities across the Global South. Each month, we highlight a different organization or project, offering comprehensive educational resources on the project and the underlying issue. We promote these initiatives through our nationwide chapters, website, newsletters, and social media platforms. Grantees are selected for feature based on specific issue areas and geographic regions.
We support capacity building, new programs, or the expansion of existing programs.
We award a minimum of 12 Featured Grants annually.
The Featured Grant term is 24 months (2 years).
Featured Grants range from $35,000 to $50,000, disbursed over a two-year period.
Only organizations with budgets exceeding $100,000 are eligible to apply.
Organizations with operating budgets under $1 million can apply for capacity building grants, which can encompass various operational aspects such as technology, strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation, and staff training. However, the same restrictions that apply to all Featured Grants also apply to capacity building grants.
Organizations may receive only one Featured Grant per four-year period.
