The Resilient, Inclusive and Sustainable Environments (RISE) grants challenge seeks to address gender-based violence (GBV) occurring within and linked to environment and climate-related sectors. Funded by USAID and Norad, managed by IUCN, this initiative aims to support activities designed to combat GBV and environmental linkages in environmental and climate-related programs.
The primary goal is to fund projects that tackle gender-based violence within environmental and climate sectors.
Proposals should focus on preventing, mitigating, and responding to the risk of GBV and environmental linkages in the context of global biodiversity and climate crises. Specific emphasis is placed on addressing GBV in fisheries sectors. Additionally, projects should deliver improved rights-based, gender-responsive, socially inclusive conservation, climate action, and sustainable development.
