The Small Project and Support Fund (SPSF) Program Funding might be able to help! This program provides financial assistance for emergency responses to human rights violations in South Africa.

Here's a quick breakdown of the program:

  • Goal: Empower disadvantaged communities through rapid responses to human rights violations.
  • Activities funded: Legal aid, community mobilization, logistical aid, advocacy efforts, humanitarian aid, healthcare access, legal guidance, and safety network reinforcement.
  • Funding amount: Maximum of 75,000 ZAR per project.
  • Eligibility: Individuals or legally registered NGOs based in South Africa.
  • Deadline: Applications are accepted until 8 projects are funded for the year.
  • Ineligible applicants:
    • Projects already receiving support from AIDS Foundation of South Africa (AFSA) or Bread for the World (BfdW) in the current financial year.
    • Government-linked entities, entities with a budget exceeding R1.5 million, or those involved in HIV/AIDS work.
  • Application process:
    1. Submit an "Intention to Apply" form.
    2. If shortlisted, submit a complete application within 24 hours.
    3. Application reviewed by a committee within 36 hours.
    4. Applicants notified of the outcome and (if successful) contacted for due diligence.
