  • Meet the university’s English language requirement
  • Complete the admissions application by the deadline

Benefits of Illinois Wesleyan University Scholarship Merit awards range from $16,000 to $30,000 per year and are renewable for up to four years for students who complete the admissions application. Two full-tuition Presidential Scholarships are awarded annually to highly qualified international students based on their talents, interests, and academic achievements.  

Required Documents To apply, candidates must submit the following:

  • Application Form
  • Transcripts from all previous high schools and/or colleges
  • Application essay
  • Teacher Evaluation or Recommendation (for CommonApp, the evaluation portion of the School Report fulfills this requirement, but additional letters are welcome)
  • ACT/SAT scores OR Personal Interview (for test-optional applicants)
  • TOEFL or IELTS scores for international students whose first or native language is not English
