Opportunity Title: Master Card Foundation Fully funded Scholarship to Study in South Africa


The 2024/2025 University of Pretoria MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program is now accepting applications until September 30, 2024. This program, in collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation, is dedicated to supporting economically disadvantaged yet academically gifted youth in Africa who aspire to effect positive change on the continent.

Program Objectives:
The program aims to assist African youth facing substantial socio-economic barriers, including refugees, Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), and individuals with disabilities, in pursuing higher education.

Requirements:
- Applications are open to Undergraduate, Honours, and Masters students who have applied and been accepted to the University of Pretoria.
- Applicants must demonstrate leadership qualities and a commitment to community service through involvement in projects, school activities, or religious organizations.
- Scholars are expected to maintain outstanding academic performance.

Benefits:
Successful applicants will receive comprehensive support, including:
- Full tuition fees coverage
- Accommodation in a UP residence
- Meals
- Books and printed material
- A modest monthly stipend
- Medical aid
- Travel costs for one return trip during the study period
- Cost of one visa application for the duration of the study period
