Job Title: Compliance Quality Assessor at Moniepoint (Remote)

If you follow Nigeria's fintech space with any seriousness, you already know the name Moniepoint. Moniepoint Inc. is Africa's all-in-one financial platform, helping 20 million businesses and individuals access seamless payments, banking, credit, cross-border, and business management tools each month. As Nigeria's largest merchant acquirer, they power most of the country's point-of-sale transactions, and through their subsidiaries, Moniepoint Inc. processes over $250 billion in digital payment transaction value annually.

That scale creates one of the most demanding compliance environments in Nigerian fintech. And right now, posted on 17 August 2026 and actively accepting applications, Moniepoint is hiring a remote Compliance Quality Assessor to help hold that standard.

What the Role Is

As a Compliance QA Analyst, you are the vigilant operator responsible for the precision of Moniepoint's daily compliance workflows. You will perform detailed, line-by-line quality checks on KYC, AML, and fraud-related tasks to ensure every decision aligns with regulatory policies and Moniepoint's operational standards. Your mission is to identify discrepancies, document errors, and provide the objective data needed to maintain high accuracy across a high-volume digital banking ecosystem. You serve as the first line of quality control, ensuring that compliance processes are flawless, fast, and audit-ready.

This is methodical, high-stakes work. Every KYC file you review represents a real customer trying to access financial services. Every AML flag you assess carries regulatory consequence. The role requires the kind of person who finds genuine satisfaction in getting the detail right — not just close enough, but exactly right.

What You Will Do Day to Day

Your responsibilities centre on quality checking compliance decisions made by Moniepoint's operations teams. You will review KYC onboarding assessments and verify that documents have been correctly evaluated against regulatory standards. You will assess AML transaction monitoring decisions and determine whether flags have been appropriately investigated and resolved. You will review fraud-related case decisions and evaluate whether the right conclusions were reached using the available evidence. You will document every error clearly, categorise it accurately, and feed findings into the broader quality assurance cycle that drives process improvement across the compliance function.

You are not making the original compliance decisions. You are the person who checks whether those decisions were made correctly — and whose findings ultimately determine whether Moniepoint's compliance operations meet the standard required by the Central Bank of Nigeria and international regulatory expectations.

What Moniepoint Is Looking For

A background in compliance, operations, banking, or fintech with exposure to KYC, AML, or fraud processes. Strong attention to detail — the ability to read a document carefully and identify what is missing, inconsistent, or incorrect. Clear written communication for documenting findings in a way that is useful to the people who will act on them. Familiarity with Nigerian regulatory frameworks including CBN AML/CFT guidelines. The ability to work independently in a remote environment and maintain accuracy across a high volume of daily reviews.

Prior experience in a bank, microfinance institution, payment company, or compliance-adjacent role in a regulated industry gives your application significant weight.

Why This Role Is Worth Taking Seriously

Compliance quality assurance is one of the most transferable skill sets in financial services. The professionals who can assess KYC files, identify AML failures, and produce audit-ready documentation are in demand at every regulated institution from Lagos to London. Starting this career at Moniepoint — one of Africa's most scrutinised and highest-profile fintech platforms — means your experience carries immediate credibility anywhere you take it next.

How to Apply

Apply directly through Moniepoint's Greenhouse portal. The role is fully remote and open to candidates across Nigeria. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Bankable Wisdom Tip: When applying for a compliance role, your attention to detail in the application itself is a live demonstration of your fitness for the job. Check every field. Proofread every sentence. If your CV has a formatting inconsistency or a date error, that is the first piece of compliance work you submitted — and it failed. Take the time to make it perfect.
