SciComm In Practice Fellowship: Empowering West African Scientists and Science Communicators
Call for Applications
The SciComm In Practice fellowship, a collaborative initiative between STEMi Makers of Africa and SuperScientists, is now open for applications. This fellowship aims to equip ten West African fellows with practical science communication skills, enabling them to effectively share their research and knowledge with the general public and inspire a new generation of scientists.
Fellowship Objectives and Benefits
Develop skills in interviewing, research paper translation, and content creation (press releases, blog articles, social media, and podcasts)
Learn from leading African science communication experts
Enhance communication skills and expand professional networks
Co-author a science communication piece and receive a certificate of completion
Eligibility Criteria
West African citizenship (from Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Côte D'Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, or Togo)
Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (completed within the last three years), Master's degree in a STEM field, or currently pursuing a PhD in a STEM-related field
