TotalEnergies Seeks Project Manager/Technical Sales to Launch Nigerian Operations

TotalEnergies, a global leader in the energy transition, is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager/Technical Sales to spearhead their launch into the Nigerian solar market!

In this dual role, you'll play a pivotal role in establishing TotalEnergies' presence in Nigeria. You'll combine your project management skills with technical sales expertise to drive project development, secure contracts, and ensure successful project execution, all while adhering to the company's rigorous safety and quality standards.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Project Management Mastermind: Manage multiple solar projects from conception to completion, focusing on safety, budget, schedule, quality, and documentation.
  • Technical Sales Trailblazer: Conduct feasibility studies, design preliminary solar solutions, and create compelling technical proposals to win new clients.
  • Contract Champion: Analyze bids from contractors, negotiate terms, and manage the procurement process to secure the best equipment and services.
  • Regulatory Rock Star: Navigate local permitting requirements and ensure projects comply with all Nigerian regulations and industry best practices.
  • Safety First Champion: Enforce TotalEnergies' strict HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) policies and procedures to create a safe working environment for everyone.
  • Collaborative Team Player: Work seamlessly with internal teams (engineering, permitting) and external stakeholders (clients, contractors) to achieve project goals.

Are you a perfect fit?

  • You possess a minimum of 5 years of project management experience in solar energy projects.
  • You have a proven track record of successfully delivering solar projects (rooftop, ground-mount, carport) up to 50-70 MWp.
  • Your technical expertise extends to experience with Low & Medium Voltage POC projects and hybrid solutions with BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) is a plus.
  • You hold a degree in engineering or a related field from a reputable university.
  • Experience working within the Nigerian context, including knowledge of electrical norms, renewable energy regulations, and construction codes, is essential.
  • You're proficient in project management methodologies and solar-specific software like MS Project, AutoCAD, PVSyst, Meteonorm, and SolarGIS.
  • A strong command of written and verbal communication, with excellent negotiation and presentation skills, is crucial.
  • You bring a commitment to safety, a collaborative spirit, and a drive to excel in a dynamic environment.
