We are hiring two Executive Assistants, and here is what the job really is
Applications close Monday, 21 September 2026
Five years ago Bankable Wisdom was one person with a WhatsApp group and an idea: African young people should not have to pay a fortune or leave the country to learn a marketable skill. Today we have certified 7,147 learners, our platform is used by 78,469 people across almost 35 African countries, and we train SME owners to run their businesses with AI.
That growth brought a problem I can no longer pretend to solve alone. In the last year we became a Mastercard Foundation FAST grantee, came through the Western Union Foundation Global Fellowship with the Watson Institute, were selected into the UNDP timbuktoo EdTech top 50, hosted a session at Digital@UNGA, and started building the third Techie Impact Summit. All of it lands on one desk. Mine.
So we are hiring two Executive Assistants to work directly with me.
Two roles, two very different people
I am not looking for two of the same person. Two generalists side by side end up waiting for instructions and duplicating work. So the roles split by temperament.
Operations and Systems. The organiser. She runs my calendar, inbox, travel and follow ups. She turns a messy meeting into a clean action list and chases every item until it closes. She builds the trackers that tell us where the grant pipeline, the cohorts and the summit partners actually stand.
Growth and Execution. The executor. Give her a goal and she returns with the finished thing: the flyer designed, the post written, the outreach sent, the event running properly, the leads in the sheet. She would rather show me a rough version today than a perfect one next week.
Both report to me. Both cover for each other when one of us is travelling.
What the work looks like
Hybrid. Fixed days in person with me each week, field days at events, partner offices and CcHUB Yaba, the rest remote. Lagos based, mainland preferred. Travel within Nigeria regularly and outside it occasionally, because this work happens in rooms, not on calls.
During event season and grant deadlines the days get longer. I give notice when that is coming. In exchange you get a front row seat in a company that is in the room with funders, government programmes and international institutions.
You must be genuinely comfortable with technology: Google Sheets you can actually build in, Canva, WhatsApp Business, Notion or Trello, and AI tools used daily, not occasionally.
Why fast
The Techie Impact Summit runs at CcHUB on 10 October. I want both people in post before it, learning the work by delivering the biggest thing we do all year.
There is a paid task in the process. I do not hire on interview talk. You will be given a small piece of real work, paid, and it will tell me more in 48 hours than three interviews would.
Both roles sit within our gender inclusion commitment as a company working on women's access to technology and enterprise. Women are strongly encouraged to apply.
How to apply
Send your CV, work samples and a short note on why you fit to bankablewisdom@gmail.com, with the role in the subject line. Deadline: Monday, 21 September 2026, 11:59pm WAT.
If you have been waiting for a job where your name is on the work, this is it.
