The Royal Society Entrepreneur in Residence (EiR) scheme is a program that aims to bridge the gap between industry and academia by ¹:
Exposing university staff and students to state-of-the-art industrial research and development
Providing support and expert advice to promote innovation and translation of research
Growing confidence in business and entrepreneurship among staff and students
Providing career recognition and support for professional development

Eligibility: Open to applicants of any nationality with a background in science and engineering, and significant experience in industrial research

Benefits
Salary equivalent to 0.2 FTE of the award holder’s current salary to spend 20% of their working time at the host
Travel and project costs for award holder to travel to and from their host, and accommodation if required
Project costs to help deliver the aims of the project plan, including conference attendance, meeting workshops, and training
