Opportunity Title: AU Digital & Innovation Fellowship 2026–2027: Fully Funded for African Tech Innovators

The African Union Digital & Innovation Fellowship Program is a 12-month immersive fellowship designed to empower Africa's brightest young digital innovators to contribute directly to digital transformation, public sector innovation, and good governance within African Union institutions. 

This is not a classroom programme. You work inside the AU itself — contributing to real continental digital policy and infrastructure that affects all 54 African nations.

Launched in 2021, the fellowship supports the implementation of the AU Digital Transformation Strategy and Agenda 2063, creating structured pathways for African youth to engage in continental governance through data-driven and technology-enabled solutions. 

What You Get

A fully funded 12-month placement at the African Union headquarters in Addis Ababa. You gain hands-on policy exposure, a continental professional network, and one of the most credible fellowship credentials available to African tech professionals.

Who Should Apply

A current CV highlighting experience in technology, data, or digital innovation is required. You do not need decades of experience — you need demonstrated skill and clarity of purpose.
