Young African innovators using AI for social good now have a fully funded route to one of the world's largest youth leadership platforms. The Brandtech Group AI for Good Scholarship 2026, in partnership with One Young World, will send five African leaders to the One Young World Summit in Cape Town this November — fully sponsored. Applications close 2 August 2026.

What Is the Brandtech AI for Good Scholarship?

Now in its third year, the scholarship identifies and elevates five young African leaders using artificial intelligence responsibly to address real-world challenges. Selected scholars attend the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa, from 3–6 November 2026, where AI is one of the summit's five core plenary challenges.

Who Is Eligible?

• Aged 18–30 at the time of the Summit (applicants over 30 may still be considered with demonstrated exceptional impact)
• Nationals or residents of any African country
• A demonstrated track record of using AI to create impactful, innovative, and responsible solutions in one or more of the following areas:
  • AI for sustainability and climate action
  • AI to improve education access and learning systems
  • AI to combat misinformation, online hate, and social harm
  • AI to promote social equity and civic engagement
  • AI to improve healthcare access
